Depending on how THOP is used, we process account and contact information, profile data, photographs, location, languages, athletic performance and pacemaker references.

For the THOP Academy, we also process registration, payment, learning-progress, examination and certificate data. For organizer enquiries, messages and community functions, we process the submitted content and associated technical identifiers.

If users voluntarily connect Strava, we retrieve activity details such as title, date, distance, moving time, elapsed time and elevation. Maps, GPS tracks and location coordinates are not imported into THOP. An activity is saved as a race only after the user expressly selects it.

We process personal data to provide accounts and profiles, operate the Academy and certification, process payments and memberships, connect pacemakers and organizers, provide messaging and community functions, and ensure security, support and platform operation.

Certain profile details may be displayed publicly. Users control the visibility of various fields in their profile settings. Private details such as address, date of birth, private email address and telephone number are not displayed in the public profile.

We use Base44 for platform operation, hosting, databases, file storage and email functions. Payments are processed through Stripe. These service providers receive only the data required to deliver their respective services.

Stripe’s privacy terms also apply to payments. THOP does not store payment instruments or full card details.

Strava’s privacy terms also apply when Strava is connected voluntarily. Authorization can be disconnected at any time in the runner profile; deliberately imported results remain until the user deletes them.

Some service providers may process data outside Switzerland. Where required, we ensure an appropriate level of protection through recognized data-protection standards and contractual safeguards.

We retain personal data for as long as required for the stated purposes, contract administration, certificate verification and statutory documentation and retention obligations. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymized unless an obligation or overriding interest requires further retention.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access restrictions, server-side permissions, encrypted transmission and checks of critical functions.

Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to, correction, delivery or deletion of their personal data and may object to specific processing.

Requests may be sent to info@pacer.ch. Proof of identity may be required to prevent misuse.

This privacy policy may be updated when functions, data processing or legal requirements change. The version published on this website at the relevant time applies.
